Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Yummy pizza, we ordered individual sized thin crust pizzas- one a pesto pizza with red onions, spinach and pinnacles and one margarita substitute Basel with spinach and both were quite tasty. Do admit the pesto had more flavor and they make their own pesto sauce. Wish they had a pesto pasta dish- think that's the only thing missing as they have a limited pasta menu. But sometimes simple is better :)

Not only is this the cutest little town in Colorado, but they've got a pretty darn good pizza joint....so much so we went there twice. My favorite thing was the calzone. The CRUST. I know other yelpers agree. I'm not sure how they get their crust so crispy and tasty...but they do. I also LOVED the hot sauce that sat on the table. It apparently was made for the small restaurant and went really well with our pizza, calzone, and spaghetti....one of the ingredients is clarified butter...i'm just saying. It was a small place, so seating was definitely limited. I also think they had only 1 waitress the two times we went, so we had to wait on refills. Other than that, this is a great spot to refuel after a day hiking in the mountains.

Great pizza and excellent service! The homemade dough and homemade sauce are fantastic!

It's easy to assume any eatery located along with tourist-saturated Grand Ave will phone it in, because hey, where else are you gonna go? Grand Pizza not only bucks this notion, they serve a premium product in their original crust pies. Skip the thin crust -- it lacks the curled up edge with such a unique texture. This braided, cracker-crisp crust actually had my wife eating "the bones," which is completely unheard of. Also, make sure you opt for the traditional sauce base. It's rich, and loaded with basil, thyme and oregano. With these two nuggets of advice in your pocket, go buck wild on your actual pie. They'll split toppings, meaning our 14" half pepperoni/jalapeño, half bacon/pineapple filled us comfortably with leftovers for less than $20. Speaking of toppings, quantity rivals the quality -- there's a solid blanket of goodies over ample cheese. Damn. And if you need one more reason to eat here, sodas are bottomless and there's Diet Dr Pepper on the fountain. What?! Bring the kids (everyone else does) and your appetite -- this place rocks.

It has been a few years since we have been in here but last Saturday night it did not disappoint. Great pizza that is a little pricey but has to be some of the best we have ever had. Ordered a meat lovers and it was perfection, only wish I would have gotten some honey for the crust. Very busy in here on this night and the amount of takeout orders they had was unreal. Great job by the crew working here on our visit.

Love the lake town. A step back in time. Relaxed atmosphere. Pizza is shockingly good and not what I expected from a tiny lake town. Owners and staff work hard to serve you Ina timely manner. Garlic bread was perfect. Not too greasy and not too bready. Pizza crust was great. Strolled the get ice cream after. Drove from Estes park and well worth it.

I'd read some of the Yelp reviews before we headed to Grand Lake this Valentine's weekend, so I was already planning to have dinner there. It didn't disappoint! We loved our pizza, as well as the crisp salad we had while we waited for the pizza to bake. The 30+ minute wait for a table was testament to the place's reputation--well worth the wait. Unless you like A LOT of crust, I'd opt for the thin crust pizza. Deeelicious!

We come to Grand Lake semi-regularly (wish it was more) however we don't eat out to often. This is our 2nd time getting pizza here, last time was a couple of years ago. In a nutshell.... really good pizza. If I lived here, I'd be happy with this pizza, if this restaurant was local, I'd always get my pizza here. I'm very impressed for a pizza place in a tourist area to really be this good. Crust - we got the hand tossed crust, and it was the right amount of light, chewy, crunchy, and held up well with out over powering the toppings. Cheese - you can tell they are getting real, quality cheese. No cheap chain pizza place cheese here! Toppings - All good!! Both times we had the Cajun pizza, and both times they were very good - not a puddle of grease to be found. Our kids ordered the kids 1 topping pizza, and they enjoyed them. Daughter actually finished her's! Again, with the peperoni no puddle of grease! Service - the 1st time we got take out, and it was ready when I got there. This time we sat down and ate. We had great service! They weren't busy when we ate, but the waitress was very attentive. We also saw the owner (I know I spoke with her) walking around, so it appears that service should always be good. Worst thing about the place, it's not a cheap pizza place. However, considering the location, they are reasonably priced. If you come up to Grand Lake and want pizza, don't think twice about getting it here.

Delicious pizza, one of the best I've ever had. Good service. Got the thick crust with pepperoni, onion and mushrooms. The toppings were fresh and sooo good.

They place is great. They sat our group of 7 fairly quickly given how busy the whole town was over labor day. Our waitress was top notch. She was on top of all our needs without being invasive. We had the Greek salad, wedge salad, wings and two different pizzas and everyone was pretty pleased. I don't usually expect great food in these little mountain towns but this place was great.

Great pizza!!! My sons both devoured the pizza which is a good sign in general. Got the thicker crust pizza and the crust was to die for. Soft and doughy but crispy on outside. Reasonably priced. Great stop before venturing into Rocky Mountain national park.

Really great pizza and decent beer selection. Came on a Saturday and only waited 15 minutes to be seated. Would eat here again.

Always a highlight to my trips. Pizza is fabulous and the crew is some of the best in the town.

Awesome pizza. We were here for a visit for the weekend and the place had good reviews and recommendations from locals. I would drive all the way from Colorado Springs for the day just to have lunch here again. Very good!!

Very few pizza places are clean. This place was amazingly clean and orderly and the food was fresh and delicious. They don't skimp on the toppings! Highly recommend.

There are few times when I eat in a small mountain restaurant and question my decision to not just visit the local grocery store. Fortunately, this was one of those times! The (at first glance) small dining area was in fact very homey and cozy. The pizza (while not on par with a light Californian delicasy or a hearty Chicago tradition) was quite well prepared and well-suited my friends and families taste for adequate couch and movie food. I would highly recommend this cozy little pizza joint

Most excellent food...the one downside to this place is it is only open Thurs.-Sun, perhaps a seasonal thing? Would def recommend...

Wow!!! Best pizza I've had in decades. Seriously. Throwback decor and plates/bowls, but not a problem. Friendly staff and convenient location on main strip of town. Salad nothing fabulous ... Pizza made up for it.

Love Grand Lake!!

Delicious! My hubby and I came here and ordered a margherita pizza to go- holy crap it was absolutely delicious. The crust was on par and had the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio. We are going up again this weekend and will definitely visit this place again. It's a tad expensive for pizza but it's worth it and the ability to just take it the condo and have it in front of the fire makes it a great option. Had the new york cheescake since they said on the phone they didn't have any flavors and it was just okay- it tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile but other than that it was a good experience. yumm!

4 Stars for above average crust - light and tasty, good bed for various sauces and toppings. Salad was pretty average, we had Caesar and friends had the wedge. Nothing exciting, but nothing to complain over. No one had appetizers. All adults in our group had pizzas with a pesto base, so not sure how more traditional pizzas would fare. I thought it was good, not amazing, but definitely worth returning next time we're in town!

I have visited Grand Lake more times than I can remember, and Grand Pizza is the best restaurant in Grand Lake, Colorado by far!!! The cozy, family friendly atmosphere is one of the biggest reasons my family and I come eat here every time we visit the town. The pizza is delicious of course, and the wings are great too. Service is hit or miss, but that can be said about most restaurants in small mountain towns. I definitely definitely definitely recommend Grand Pizza for anyone visiting Grand Lake or the towns near it!
(5)Eric C.
Good pizza! We had a large bacon and pineapple with the family serving of ceasar salad. Plenty of food for our family of 4. Our kids normally don't eat all of the crust, they loved theirs and ate it all.
(5)Kay K.
My cousin raved and raved about this pizza all the way up the mountain and now I know why!!! It was incredible, especially for a little tourist town in the middle of the Rockies. My only complaint was: the servers who weren't waiting on customers needed to find something to do, they were at a back table on their phones. Other than that, it was top notch and I will eat there again on my next trip thru the Rockies.

We went here a couple of days ago for lunch and really enjoyed it. I was a little hesitant, based on a few of the less-than-glowing reviews, but we really wanted pizza, and there were enough really good reviews to make it seem worthwhile. We had a small (12") pizza with pesto sauce instead of the tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, black olives, and red onions. The crust was really good - it is true that it is unlike other pizza crust that I have had, but I enjoyed it. The part of the crust under all of the toppings is similar to a regular thin crust pizza. The crust itself is a little thicker than usual, but very light and airy, and a little chewy (in a good way) - it is obvious that they make their own dough, and that it was very fresh. The ingredients were also fresh, and not overcooked, though I might have liked the onions cooked a little more since they were very potent, but I did like them anyway. My favorite part of the pizza was the pesto sauce - it was obviously made fresh, and had a very nice basil/garlic balance. It made me want to start growing my own basil again - it has been a while since I have had good pesto! We also split a regular size tossed salad - made with romaine lettuce and fresh veggies (I can't recall all of them except for the grape tomatoes, which were delicious). The salad was generous - we were both pleasantly full, but not stuffed, after 2 pieces of pizza and a half salad each. We took the remaining two pieces of pizza home. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient. They even welcomed our one year old, which I appreciated - I used to work in restaurants, and not everybody is nice to people with kids, despite how well-behaved the child is (our son is great in restaurants, and we do not let him make a mess). Overall it was a great experience - we will definitely go back next time we are in Grand Lake. The only negative was the price, but that is to be expected in a tourist town, so it was not surprising. We paid $25 +tip for a 12" pizza ($18) and a very generous salad ($6). If it were possible, I would give Grand Pizza 4-1/2 stars. It exceeded our expectations. And while it was not the best pizza I have ever had (that was a pizza joint in Atlanta years ago), it was really good, and made with fresh ingredients. The service was great, and the high price was expected in a tourist town.

Food, good. Attitude, horrible. First off as a party of 12, the manager lady was so inflexible with seating us. She refused to put any tables together to seat us together and she refused to have two high chairs at a table, saying it blocked the walkway too much. There's even a warning on the menu telling you to keep your kids seated! I get you don't want mine running around your place, but when you refuse me to put them in a high chair, well guess what you're gonna get. Then manager lady stared at us the whole time we ate. Awkward. I even caught her taking about us as when she thought we had all left. The good part was the pizza was pretty good. Not many choices for Grand Lake, but we enjoyed a Primavera and Meat Lovers.

Quick meal and a Stella. Good staff and hospitality. Beer wine and pizza. Yup! If you're looking for Italian. Grand pizza hits the spot

We went here on a beautiful day when Grand Lake was holding their make up parade and fireworks. The group of us got a large to share. A veggie pizza. One great thing about this place is their ingredients seem to be fresh which is always a plus. The one main thing that I did not like was their crust it was neither think nor thin. I didn't want to eat it. Then my friend said to try a sauce that only Grand Pizza has developed which is supposed to be fantastic. So fantastic that you can buy your own little bottle to take home. All I could think was yeah they need a spacial sauce to get this crust down. The spacial sauce is good a little spicy helped with the crust but hey I didn't buy my own bottle. They had a good choice of salads on the menu, which I will probably get if I ever find myself going back to Grand Pizza.

They represented that they have Gluten Free pizza, the pizza was less then average but beware cross contamination if gluten free at all is high. i have never been so sick.

We spent 3.5 weeks (7/8/13 - 8/1/13) in Grand Lake and ate at Grand Pizza 4 times. Everything is good (pizza, wedge salad, garlic/cheese breadsticks, calzone). Decent prices and good service.

One of the best pizza places we have tried. Incredible crust and fresh toppings! Definitely try the Washington apple salad. 4.5 stars.

The restaurant seemed clean, the food was ok and service was average.

Too bad they were not open the four nights we stated in Grand Lake! Four nights they were closed!

Blah. Location is great on the boardwalk of Grand Lake, but the food was entirely lackluster. The wings were gross and mushy with a below standard sauce. The bottled chipotle sauce on the table made the wings edible. We tried the standard crust pizza, which mimics the crust of another " mountain pie" pizza place in Colorado. Unfortunately, the entire pie was entirely below standard. The ingredients lacked freshness and we left underwhelmed. Service from the Euro staff was polite and attentive, but bland. Combined with the poor food quality and steep prices, I'd mosey on down the boardwalk.
(2)Allie C.
We ordered 2 pizzas and a family Cesar salad. The BBQ and the pesto chicken pizza were really good! My favorite part was the crust. But my only complaint was the calzone that my brother ordered was really greasy and not really stuffed. 3.5 stars
(3)Joe T.
Honestly I wasn't expecting much for a little pizza location in this little town. However the pizza we ordered was fresh, mouth-watering, and reasonably priced for a tourist town that I just had to write about it. I would honestly just dine here every night if I'm stuck in this town, it's both that good and speaking volumes of the lack of other dining options in this town.
(5)Jason Z.
Solidly good pizza, and friendly service. It is very similar to other "Colorado" pizza, right down to the honey for the crust. As fans of Chicago style pizza, Colorado really doesn't have any stellar options. However, this is a good pie, ingredients were good (including in the salad), and it wasn't the same old NY style that is pervasive in these parts.
(4)Philip K.
If this is the place I'm thinking of... then this is the review I give it. This place has REALLY good pizza. The crust is nice and chewy, and the pizza isn't too saucy. It's like a new-york style pizza, but with more crust around the outsides. Also, salads are big.
(4)Denise M.
Had a Sunday evening dinner here after bowling with the kids. Three of us split a thin crust Greek pizza and my husband tried a calzone. The pizza was very good - fresh ingredients and exactly as we ordered (we made a couple of changes). My husband said his calzone was "good" but not as stuffed as he would like and not as good as Beau Jo's. The three stars are due to the calzone, the place needed a bit of a cleaning and the prices were higher than we were used to ($21 for a medium pizza - smallest size you can order after 4PM! What's up with that!).

---------------------------------------Top Ten-----------------------------------------------Â- Grand Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places! I mainly judge pizza joints by their ingredients and dough. Sauce is an after thought unless it's horrible, th

Been here two or three times and have always had good pizza and whatever else we ordered. The price is a bit high but the food was good and the service was quick too.
